Conditions Treated

Lung Cancer

Lung cancer is one of the most common and serious types of cancer, often caused by smoking, though non-smokers can also develop it. There are two main types: non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and small cell lung cancer (SCLC). Symptoms include a persistent cough, coughing up blood, chest pain, and shortness of breath. Early detection and treatment are crucial for improving survival rates.

Colon Cancer

Colon cancer, also known as colorectal cancer when it affects the rectum, begins in the large intestine (colon) or rectum. This type of cancer often starts as small, benign clumps of cells called polyps, which can develop into cancer over time. Symptoms can include changes in bowel habits, blood in the stool, abdominal discomfort, and unexplained weight loss. Regular screening, such as colonoscopy, is key to early detection and prevention.

Bladder and Renal / Kidney Cancer

Diagnosis and Systemic treatment Kidney cancer, or renal cancer, begins in the kidneys, which filter waste from the blood and produce urine. The most common type is renal cell carcinoma. Symptoms can include blood in the urine, back or side pain, loss of appetite, weight loss, and fatigue. Early-stage kidney cancer often has no symptoms, making regular health check-ups important for detection

Breast Cancer

Breast cancer develops from breast tissue and is most commonly seen in women, though men can also be affected. The disease typically starts in the lining of the milk ducts or the lobules that supply these ducts with milk. Symptoms include a lump in the breast, changes in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, fluid coming from the nipple, and red or scaly patches of skin. Early detection through screening mammograms significantly improves the outcome

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is a common cancer in men, starting in the prostate gland, which produces seminal fluid. It often grows slowly and may not cause serious harm, but some types are aggressive and can spread quickly. Symptoms include difficulty urinating, blood in the urine, pelvic discomfort, and bone pain. Screening with prostate-specific antigen (PSA) tests and digital rectal exams (DRE) can help detect it early

Cervical Cancer

Cervical cancer occurs in the cells of the cervix, the lower part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. It is commonly caused by persistent infection with high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types. Symptoms can include abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, and pain during intercourse. Routine Pap smears and HPV vaccinations are effective in prevention and early detect.

Stomach Cancer

Stomach cancer, also known as gastric cancer, begins in the stomach lining and can spread to other parts of the body. It is often associated with certain dietary factors, chronic infections such as Helicobacter pylori, and genetic predispositions. Symptoms can include difficulty swallowing, stomach pain, nausea, weight loss, and feeling full quickly after eating. Early diagnosis is challenging because early-stage symptoms are often vague.

Lymphoma

Lymphoma is a cancer of the lymphatic system, which includes the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus gland, and bone marrow. The two main types are Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Symptoms can include swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, fever, night sweats, and unexplained weight loss. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for managing the disease.

Uterine Cancer

Uterine cancer, also known as endometrial cancer, starts in the lining of the uterus (endometrium). It is the most common cancer of the female reproductive organs. Symptoms include abnormal vaginal bleeding, pelvic pain, and pain during intercourse. Early detection through pelvic exams and attention to symptoms can improve treatment outcomes.

Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian cancer starts in the ovaries and is often detected at a later stage due to its subtle symptoms. These can include abdominal bloating, pelvic pain, difficulty eating, and frequent urination. Regular gynecological exams and being aware of family history can aid in early detection

Multidisciplinary Tumor board

A tumor board is a meeting where a panel of cancer specialists discuss de-identified patient cases to collaboratively develop the most effective treatment plan. It facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to cancer care, ensuring all aspects of the patient's case are considered.
